CIVIL RIGHTS LOBBY DAY
MARCH 14, 2007
Please join our coalition, including Iowa Safe
Schools, One Iowa, The Interfaith Alliance of Iowa, Planned Parenthood
of Greater Iowa, and the Iowa Civil Rights Commission, to convince our
elected officials that we need to ban discrimination against lesbian,
gay, bisexual, and transgender Iowans!
We need everyone’s help—gays, lesbians, and straight
allies, parents, grandparents, educators, employers, people of faith,
concerned citizens, and all those interested in creating communities
free from discrimination—on March 14 to talk to Iowa legislators.
Never lobbied before? No worries, we will have plenty of
experienced volunteers to help you out. Your stories and
experiences are critical in convincing our Legislature to ban
discrimination against LGBT Iowans.
Can’t make the whole day? No problem. One or two hours or anytime
you have to talk to legislators will truly make a difference!
