Iowa Safe Schools Recognized at Prairie Meadows Community Betterment Grant Award Luncheon |
Des Moines, IA – Iowa Safe Schools was among more than 200 non-profit organizations recognized at the Prairie Meadows 2009 Community Betterment Grant Award Luncheon on Thursday, February 11, 2010. Iowa Safe Schools received a $5,000 grant from Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino through its 2009 Community Betterment Grant Program.
Prairie Meadows annual Community Betterment Grant Award luncheon featured guest speakers, music and dance performances and artwork from grant recipient organizations. Nate Monson, Executive Director, Cyndy Erickson, Treasurer, & Dr. Bill Morain, Secretary attended the event on behalf of Iowa Safe Schools.
“We are thrilled Prairie Meadows funded the Safe Schools for All Program," said Nate Monson, Executive Director. "These funds will help ensure Iowa's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) students are protected and supported by Iowa's educators."
