Kathy Collins Reilly Courage in Education Award |

This award is named in honor of Kathy Collins Reilly, a former teacher and later legal consultant for the Iowa Department of Education and School Administrators of Iowa. Collins Reilly has been a highly visible advocate of policies and practices to end bullying, harassment, and discrimination against LGBTQ students in Iowa schools. She is a former board member and currently Honorary Co-Chair of Iowa Safe Schools.
The award is given to an individual or organization involved in Iowa's education system who has advocated for and supported protecting Iowa's LGBTQ youth from bullying, harassment, and discrimination.
